Do you have any suggestions? It seems as if the battles are the one thing in the OHRRPGCE that are the hardest thing to customsize for your own purposes without scripting a custom battle engine. Something that is far beyond our plotscripting ability.

That article has some interesting ideas on levelling up, but it didn't say much more. I don't think I have ever played an RPG with really fun battles. Exept maybe the Black Isle games.

One idea of a custom battle system would be a non-stat based system, where you move your characters into strategic positions, kind loke a board game or something. This may be hard to do in the OHR though...
