*raises hand*
Speaking of lack of sleep, there was this one guy, in Pennsilvania, who played a computer game for three days straight, had snacks and drinks, but never slept, and then just dropped dead.
I'll try it though. _________________ The Following Statement is True.

| Forgotten? How the hell could I forget? He came into #Sew this morning and gave me some pointers. This would be a terrific contest methinks: Seeing who could stay in IRC the longest period of time, awake. We'd have checkins every hour or so to be sure, and we'd see who HAS WHAT IT TAKES. |

heh i remember surge. im lacking sleep right now . (its like 1 in the morning on the east coast) WOW i just got a better idea for a contest... remake real games OHR style. you would chose an already made rpg. (like ff10, star ocean, ect) and remake the whole game using the OHR system. it might take a loooOOOOoong time thought. _________________

I would second this idea, as I would very much so like to see Katamari Damacy OHR as well. |

actually.....
You push around a NPC on the map and have to get it to a set amount of "weight". When it touches another NPC, it adds that to the "weight" and changes the ball slightly to reflect that. Each NPC has a different weight, and when the ball hits that weight you progress to the next level. If the ball is OVER a certain limit when that happens, you insted lose a life/go back a level.
It could be done, just not very well. |

| I had been thinking about the possibility of emulating Super Metroid on the OHR... in my opinion, it could be recreated exactly as it is on the SNES, except for a low frame rate in places, and no xray scanner type effects. |

aww, a bit of plotscripting will fix that...
...at a massive decrease in speed. |

Would it be possible to plotscript a game as such:
NPC that brings up a cheat menu.
Cheat menu modified with pre-defined passwords.
1 Blank Map, a certain combination of passwords would be tagged in such a way that it runs a script that changes each individual maptile into a new one, and rewall it.
Potentially, 35565 worlds possible like this.
If so I will use this method to make an OHR .hack game, truer to the series than the existing one, after completion of Cair Navon. _________________ ANIME FREAK!!!!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL DIS RO><ORS!!!

I can't enter that one, I have little micro-naps after the first 20 hours, plus I'd have to be at my Grandma's again to even stand a chance. Strict parents, y'know.

Wouldn't you need an unlimited hack of the OHR to do that many sub-maps, arrays, etc? _________________ A broken clock is still right twice a day. |

So it is impossible with existing plotscripting commands... what's the closest I can get with plotscripting then? _________________ ANIME FREAK!!!!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL DIS RO><ORS!!!
