The experience of playing those games would be totally different on paper and the game would have to be modified to a degree that it would bear little resemblance to the original. You could put a text adventure on paper with little to no modification. There's the difference.

OK, but I still don't see why that makes them not video games. Video is, I believe, what you see on the screen. The text is video, what font you use is video, what background color there is in the game is video.

And I think there is computer games fo blind, but those should maybe be called audio games.

Text isn't video at all, though. It's text.

I somehow belive that all the pixels that are rendered on the screen can be considered as video.

You may have "Graphics" and "Video" mixed up.

This is true, but the graphics in a game can't be BAD if I'm going to enjoy the game. I mean, I wouldn't be able to play a game with an epic storyline if it looked like one of the terrible game entries.

So you're saying that you won't play any demos of mine?

Dude, computer/console games require some sort of knowing what to push. although an "Audio Game" is entirely possible... just unprobable...

Computer games for the blind exist. It's just a very selective market, that's all.

Example:

Readout - "When you hear the BEEP press the spacebar on your keyboard, try and get the push as close to the beep as possible to earn a higher rank of beeps."

"Beep!"
/Blindperson presses spacebar

"You score the Low E-flat beep, well done. Press Enter to continue, or Escape to exit."

Well. Thats all boring and all. Im sure with a certain thinking in mind the world of many different games could be put into play for blind people.

And how exactly is a blind person going to know where the spacebar, excape key, or enter key are? Braille keyboards? With how sensitive most keyboards tend to be? Not likely.

I'm pretty sure blind people computers are significantly different from ours. And yes, without video like a blind game would be, it's not technically a video game.

Although it is technically a "Video Game", as it causes the blind person to imagine something (even though I am completely unsure about what they would be... Oookay... ) as to what they would be seeing if they werent blind...

What was the origional purpose of this thread again?

Imagination has nothing to do with video. There is no way that would make it technically anything. Technically speaking, anything that isn't visual and seen with the eyes (not the relation between the words "video" and "visual") has nothing to do with video, and without video it isn't a video game.

Shocking definitions.

Wikipedia is by no means a definitive source, though in this case I'm forced to agree.

Dude, that is totally wrong. "Video game" is a much more specific term than that. That's a "computer game". Computer games are games with computers. Video games are games with video.
