Why must we cling to old modes of thinking...?
Established patterns of thought, and action...?
Are we really afraid of the very idea of unknowns...?
Are we truly the slaves of what we already know...?
Watch me now, I hear it through the squall
Listen now, I'm telling you all
The inevitable answer...
To our old solutions...
I now I place the human race upon a stage,
A stain upon the stage of a microscope,
We shall soon be illuminated...
I'll scrutinize, apostatize, through the objective lens, for the first time,
It will be me watching all of you... for the first time,
Refocused, 'til I find my Locus
Pray that I don't throw this 'sample' away.
You prattle on, and on over meaningless tripe...
Established patterns of fact, and fiction...
You may be a mother, a brother, a father, a sister, a friend...
You may not be anyone in the end...
You may be a politician, a salesman, a wannabe despot...
You may feel that control is freedom, or that control is love...
I'm afraid I see some rust, on that hidden
Iron
Glove.
For the past few days, when fantasy failed
Hallucinations became my cage, without you I'm reeling,
Lost all feeling,
But sadness, frustration, and rage
Since your departure old gent,
Through the veins of unilateral descent,
Through the haze of lament, yes
I have been sent,
The laces of my heritage
There on my bed,
Box of red,
A note unread,
Bound by a thread...
Am I asking all the right questions now?
Is that what this is all about?
All these traditions have done for me is
Cause my senses to doubt
It's only a stream!
A part of me is the future unseen
And a part of me is slave to the time
And a part of me must bow to a slime
A part of me is so afraid to die
Victim to the part of me
Raising its fist so high...
A prismatic mind...
I must change...
Gotta change...
Time to change...
The human race... _________________ SACRE BLEU!

I started reading this thinking it was a poem, but I quickly realized it was a song, and before I was finished, I was wanting to sing it, and sing it loudly (which would have probably gotten me some strange looks had I succumbed) |

*reloads the HamsterRepublic home page and sees Bob singing this song*
To clarify, I didn't really do that, but wouldn't that be something... It would take up two pages...
Clever lyrics. I'm not the expert when it comes to lyrics, but this definitely has feeling. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...
