I think that's probably the best solution yet, except that the eyedropper shouldn't necessarily be circular or rectangular or anything. Sometimes I want very odd shapes.
Out of curiosity, does a feature-freeze freeze CUSTOM-only changes like this? _________________

"""Sometimes I want very odd shapes. """
The cursor should still be circular, and you could have your odd shapes. Let's say that the currently selected tile is considered as 'mask tile' -- any matching tiles in the eyedropped area are considered transparent.
(OHR could even use a histogram instead, so that you don't have to set the mask tile at all, automatically the tile that occurs the most within the eyedropped area becomes transparent.)
The patterns that you would pick up in such a way are plainly 'eyedroppings'. |

Nah, this should wait until after ubersetzung releases. We are so close to stability that I can taste it :) |
