I'll have to say I'm for the reopening of PL - not that what I say carries a lot of weight, but the rest of the forum has become so toxic, that any stupidity PL may once have drawn pales in comparison. I think it's just what we need.

It may even suck some of the stupidity out of other forums like some big, body builder guy sucking snake venom out of a person's snake bite wounds. Not only that, it would be a good place for people to grow, having let the full force of their immaturity loose. It could, possibly, become an attraction of our fine forum, or it could become a deterrent. As for that, I believe it is up to us. Being random, funny, idiotic, or an oxymoron is fine, but I agree with the rest of you who say we should be somewhat civil, so it isn't too harsh of an environment.
In summation, I support this 100%. I consider PL's closing, in the first place, to be the failed experiment...

| Wow. I didn't expect this kind of a pro turnout. Whoever said CN was the only one who objected, a while back I proposed a revival of the forum to IM, who rather blatantly shot it down. Anyway though, I'm glad it's unanimous. However, until it's revived, let's make this the General Discussion thread. Anything goes, boys. Am I the only HUGE fan of Airplane here? |

And we still have the thread in Hush Hush where it happened. Setu called me up saying that IM gave him the permission, and when we were just about to, CN became very vocal about not reopening it again.
And it's still not reopening. But we will have general forum discussion. Hopefully you'll understand soon.

IM has been having server problems, which prevents him from working on stuff, but everything is very far along, and I'm having trouble finding bugs now. I want to get it released before I go on vacation (the 10th) so we'll see how it goes.

I'm having more than server problems. As an early birthday present, my laptop's AC Adapter died (seems the wire finally snapped after 4 years of excessive use) and I now have no way of charging my laptop's battery. I'm waiting for Dell to send me a new one, but it's over seas, so it could take a while. We were shooting for a release tonight, but that won't happen since I can't even edit any code via the library.
