Stop being a condescending jerk.
Critiquing the work is fine and apprecieated, but you stepped over that and took issue with the entire style, which is rediculous. Until you show me your art police badge, stop telling other people what they can and can't draw. _________________

Awww. Someone called me a jerk due to my firm suggestions on how to improve. ...who, praytell, is helping him out more? The person offering constructive criticism, or the ones building shrines and hurling hollow praise? I respond as I'd like to be responded to when I post a rendering on a public forum. ...as an artist attempting to improve. Get off your soapbox and relax.

At what point, exactly, did I mock the style? I simply recommended expanding his influences and technique to encompass more traditional resources. But hey - thanks for reading my post in its entirety before posting. I'm becoming more and more painfully aware when I mention the term anime without "cool" or "otaku" anywhere near it, I'm burnt at the stake. Now, if you'll excuse me - I need to get back to work.
...Peace, my easily enraged friend. |

there is no such thing as a "can not do" in drawing, just because it doesn't agree with your perspective on a "good" drawing doesn't mean you dismiss it all together.
people draw what people believe is right to them, it does not have to be like your "classic" drawing, that's what make us different and human, because of our individuality.
criticism can go far, but don't dismiss the entire thing all together is what i'm saying.
The drawing looks kinda funny in a way, with it's leaning on thin air. nice work nonetheless. _________________ If we were a pack of dogs, IM would be a grand Hound, CN would be a very ficious little pitball, and Giz...well, it doesn't matter breed he is, he'd still be a bitch

Actually, Omerta, your recommendations do come across as rude. That may not have been the way you intended it, but that's the way it sounds to everyone, including me.
Let's please stop this trivial argument and move on with our lives. Thank you. _________________
