phoning all of my canadian friends, no one can access hotmail nor msn messenger or even any other website owned by msn (returning the nonexistant and not a 404 error). I was wondering if the problem is localized to Canada. Anyone?

I have managed to sort it out:
Due to lightsaving hour changes in canada last week (it doesn't happen everywhere at the same time) the last resync with msn network was inccorect which led to one bad sync cycle (4 hours) during which none of msn networks were available to canadian users. This includes most of the error codes starting with 800 and 810 Wink you're not alone boys Raspberry!

I'm still using "Windows Messenger", because it isn't bloatware.

Then again, it's probably more insecure than a Final Boss' lair.

Wait, you're from Canada? I was under the impression you were French.

From what I heard, some Canadians are known to be native French speakers in some parts, while others are native English speakers.

I know that, but I could've sworn he said he was French. Maybe I just assumed that because he said French is his native language.

The occurence of me writing "I am french" is more than likely... I always keep on forgetting that, in english, it refers to territorial and not language stuff... so anyway, I am a french-canadian if this helps? To rectify newbie_power's assumption, yes, there are a lot of french canadians, and they mostly reside in the eastern province of quebec, while some live in ontario... Quebec is about 95% french (random approx) while, overally, canada must be somewhere around say... 65-75% english? (not sure of this, but quebec is one of the largest provinces...)
