It was pretty good for a "my first game" game. _________________ Indy OHR! and National OHR Month Contest going on now!

Well, it's no Buggamon Quest. That's something to be proud of. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Gotta be honest here, it was my second. My first was so terrible and horrible and PAINFUL that it was never hosted.
It's still on my HD, though...
btw, did you manage to finish it or anything? It's obvious when you get to the end, since the map is incomplete and junk. _________________ http://hellyeahmyownurl.spaces.live.com/default.aspx?_c02_owner=1

I died and I ddint save. But from what I saw it was alright.Made ok use of value in the graphics (I h8 solid colors). The music was ok and matched the mood.My only qualm is that the story seemed kinda nonexistant. _________________ Indy OHR! and National OHR Month Contest going on now!

Ah, so you didn't go too far in? Well, is there anyone, if not you, willing to play through it all and tell me what was good/bad? I want to start a new project, but would like some 'insrtuction' before starting it. The game isn;t that long, only bout 3-4 hours. |

oh, man, that's some great feedback.
I was learning the engine more throughly as i made this game, and decided to leave some of my newb errors, such as the having to talk to the dad after beating him, and my HORRIBLE island world graphics, in there as a kind of reminder of how i progressed. (Which was a stupid choice, now that i think about it.) As for the grandpa sprite, i was supposed to fix that, but forgot.
I have XP, and dos runs all fast, so i found the battles to be quite fast, actually. when i got winohr, i realized how wrong i was. I actually fixed that and made a real nice text box introduction, giving you feedback on slime's family and their constant hating on each other and crap, and added spell descriptions, but the stupid program crashed, and i lost it. I got so stressed discouraged that i added the info on his family in the readme and left the game as it was before any tinkering.
As you go on, (IF you decide to even go on, since thhe beginning is, well, quite bad) you can see my progress as i improved.
Anywho, thanks alot for the feedback. Remind me to return the favor somehow. If anyone can go far and gve me feedback on the later parts (which i am much more proud of) that would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I'm gonna fix it up as soon as my laptop's charger gets fixed. Speaking of which, is there some other kind of chargers, like a usb charger or something? I'm sick of having to buy a shitty dell charger every 5 weeks.
Oh, yeah, dell sucks by the way. I didn't listen to what friends said, and I learned that the hard way. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT PURCHASE ANY DELL PRODUCTS! _________________ http://hellyeahmyownurl.spaces.live.com/default.aspx?_c02_owner=1

Actually, my experience with Dell has been quite different. Their online support has been more than helpful. I bought in home service, which has saved my ass on a few occassions with techs fixing things next day. What is causing the charger to break? I've only managed to break one Dell charger, and that's from overuse to the point where the charger cable snapped inside. Took 4 years for that to happen, though. _________________

They have good online support because you're basically paying for it through their horrendously overpriced shit. |

Well, I did try to get support, but basically, they told me that since my laptop was an old model, i was screwed. Not only does the charger's head fall off every few months, but the keyboard tends to malfunction from time to time and the right mouse button broke off. I researched my model, in fact, and even dell states that it had design flaws, such as the keyboard thingies in the button breaking off, but really didn't do anything about it.
I have a cpx ppx model, btw. _________________ http://hellyeahmyownurl.spaces.live.com/default.aspx?_c02_owner=1
