Hello there!
I would appreciate if someone would play through the Swedish game "Zander" (English version) and make a review of it.
It is not a full game but I believe it contains at least 1 hour of gameplay, problary more.
Thank you... _________________ "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools."

Are you saying you haven't played through it yourself to find out? |

Just because you don't know the total playtime of the game doesn't mean you haven't played through it. The author's savefile may be much longer (from playing through a buggy scene multiple times) or much shorter (because he knows all of the puzzle solutions and dungeon paths). _________________

Yes, that was the case. But now I have played it through and it was no less than 2 hours and 35 minutes of gameplay. Of course we knew exactly which way to go so it may be a bit longer for someone else. Also, it is a bit unlinear, so the time may differ depending of what choises you make.

I was considering this in my "games I should try reveiwing some time soon as long as work, studies, or my little brother don't get in the way" list (a.k.a. GISTRSTSALAWSOMLBDGITW).
I only have 4 games on my list, and yours is one of the first ones, so expect to have it done some time mid March... I hope :/
PS: Frankly, I thought this game was still in production, so I was putting it's much deserved review off. I will see about it now. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Eeeeexellent....
Well, it's more of a demo actually. Chapter 2 is almost done, but I dont't think I will translate that in a while.
I think I was almost promised a review by Joe Man in the Swedish game thread, so get working! _________________ "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools."

Chaos Nyte told me he wanted to review Zander, but he said that before there was an English version available and he's been really busy ever since then. _________________

Chaos Nyte, eh? Once more: eeeeexellent...
By the way, there is a new update with slightly better graphics and some of the songs from the IMPORT folder replaced by others.
Our strategy is to constantly upload unnecesary updates to stay in the "newest additions" list. Hehehe... _________________ "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools."

I guess I can do a review for each chapter. I simply include that it is chapter 1, 2, etc. that I am reviewing.
I am not sure if I should get wrapped up in all of that yet, though. Not out of school yet, you see.
I will deliberate this a little more, but I will definitely review something for you. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

I didn't promise a review. I just said that you should expect a review someday, though I was suggesting (and seriously considering) the possblibity of me reviewing Zander.
I'll get right on it. _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."

About that "strategy"...Its really annoying. At least wait 2 weeks between updates man. I mean who in the world is gonna download over 2 GB every other day just because you put in a new song!? And when I look at the new games list I wanna see (prepare for shock) New Games!.
I played Zander...And I really like the directing and plotscripting job. Thre intro really suprised me. But the horrible flaw in the game is its graphics. The screenhshots were ok but the walkabouts and maps were...bad news. But if you had Fen or somebody doing graphics I'm sure itd be one of the more elite OHR games. _________________ Indy OHR! and National OHR Month Contest going on now!

Here's a preview of my review:
Battles:
Abolutely horrible. Dysmal. I can't believe I could bear to play through the game, the battles are so bad.
That isn't the full thing, of course, But I hope that in the next update, it isn't that bad. _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."
