Well, here it is folks, a new project, in which I am going to compose an entire soundtrack to a game that...doesn't exist?

Yeah, thats right. Why? well, I've a few reasons. The first one is, to keep my technique sharp. The second one is just as a general experiment. I'm very, VERY keen to hear feedback, requests, and hey, if you want to write a script to this game, go for it.

Listen out for the motif rhythms, you'll hear it dotted (bad pun!) all over the place. Also, listen out for the key changes.

So, without further ado, here is the intro, which I wrote this morning:

Please either PM me, or e-mail me at:

If you would like to see the score, then please contact me. And if you would like to create a game for this sound track, or more likely, use it in your game, contact me.

Go and be inspired!

Here it is, the second track. Technically speaking this is the title screen track, should if there were a game, you'd hear this first.

Same kind of feeling, hopefully it leads on to the more advanced Prelude track. Probably do a battle theme next, they're always fun!

Comments, criticisms and ect are all appreciated!

Go and be inspired!

I have a question: What did you have in mind, specifically, for those songs? The first one you posted makes me think of a space-themed game, while the title music reminds me of those old Darksun games.

I don't really want to explicitly state what is going on, I want for people to find out for themselves!

I may offer a suggestion, but this is just a suggestion:

A story focusing on a survivor of a horrible magic war, opening with him standing in the middle of a scorched and blazing battle ground.

Thats just one idea, could be anything. But it's definitely a tragedy!

Nice job; reminds me of War of the Worlds (the album based on the book).

Cool. Can't wait to hear more.

Might I suggest packaging the whole thing into zipfiles when you're finished? One for .MID and one for .MP3?

When I think of an intro I think of something that grabs the audience, throws them in their seat and tells them to shut up and listen. Yeah, I haven't changed one bit. Ha ha ha!
Well, to get to my point, this song makes a great background song but I can't feel it as an intro. Maybe it's me. Great work either way. It definitely makes me feel the mood.

The second one, aside from the instruments, reminds me of the first. It's good. Kind of goes at a slow gate and doesn't have a lot of variance in composition. It stays the same throughout. I commend you on your hard work. *pats on the back*
Again, it's got better sound quality than my music.

Alas, school has prevented this little project and other musical projects, but expect something soon...ish.

That is nice. It puts me in mind of a small farming town in Wallachia where it is always cloudy, nobody ever makes eye contact, and the farmers never speak of the castle on the hill.

Let me try something new:

What do YOU want me to write next?

I'll write a track of your suggestion to fit into the sound world of the current album. Gimme something interesting! A location, an emotion, a character, whatever, have fun!
