(The rules are as follows:
  • You may post up to four lines (one verse), but they must rhyme! Heck, you can even turn it into a limerick if you want, but it also must have something to do with the last verse or two.

  • If the person before you didn't post a full verse (say he/she only posted three lines), you can complete the unfinished verse and add your own full verse after it if you want — just make sure to seperate them a little so people can tell the verses apart!

  • If you are posting a comment, please enclose it in parentheses (the marks surrounding this text), that way we can distinguish it from the poem post itself.

  • As TwinHamster said, develop a consistent Rhyme Scheme — ‘ABAB, CDCD, etc.sound good?’

I think that about does it. If I think of any more, I'll edit this post and add them. Shall we begin? :D)

There once was a chap,

who in one day ran fifty laps.
He got quite tired,
And stopped at a shire
and never went back for his map.

But he was forced by,
By someone he would never know,
but which he would abide

And the dicks he would blow,
The things he would suck,
Made him hundreds of bucks,

With his jaws tired from work,
He set back down his path
And soon met a clerk,
hired to do his math.

(We might want to develop a consistent Rhyme Scheme? ABAB, CDCD, etc.sound good?)

This man was bright,
He was like Einstien,
He did all his math right,
And he also liked eating Chow-Mein.

(and I agree with TwinHamster — the ABAB, CDCD, etcetera sounds good.)

But one he didn't bear
The persistance of that man
with a leather coat to wear
Thought the clerc was his lamb

Suddenly from above
A man flew from the sky
Landing softly as a dove
Before the hero guy

Everyone had looked up to the sky —
Had it been a pie?
Had it been a plane?
No it was Superman, of all Villains a bane!

(and now I think it's time I get some sleep. Anyway, Superman lands in front of the hero guy…)

He looked real keen,
Standing really tall,
But he got real mean,
And kicked our hero's balls.
