Actually not much in the new graphics category, but I decided to use a new palette for my game and I had to update some graphics accordingly. Tell me what you think. The only new one is the two-headed skeleton but there are probably plenty of people who've never seen any of these before. They're all summons. Tell me what you think.

fire summon

ice summon

lightning summon

wind summon

normal damage summon

healing summon

normal damage summon

normal damage summon

stat increasing summon

Being the fire element lover I am I kinda wish the fire elemental used more warm colors (the one sued right now are more neautral). Also the wind dood dosen't really feel like wind...maybe death on the wind but not the element of wind itself. And the healing summons' eyes look a bit large considering how much realism went into the rest of the body...But you have just been going for that effect. The linework is the joint through I wouldn't change that on any of these.

The wind summon doesnt look very windlike. I could even see that being used for an earth summon. And how come everyone gets clothes except for the chick (reminds me of cliche ff shiva)?

The summons aren't composed of their element, that's just the attack they do, and I just think that just because the summon casts a fire spell he doesn't need to be bright red, or on fire, or made of fire, or any of the obvious things. He's just gonna cast the fire spell then go away. Same with the wind guy. Whoever said undead an undead angel couldn't control the wind? At least that's how I see it.

I guess what I'm saying is that I don't think the summons appearance necessarily needs to reflect whatever attack they do. I mean, I tried to tie the summons more closely with their elements at least minimally, whether it be with colors or character details. The fire one's hair is kind of fiery, the ice guy's armor is light blue, the lightning one has lightning type of colors and feathers that sort of spread out like lightning. The wind one has a wing, the healing one has a really gentle pose, and the stat one (which casts Double) has two heads.

If I had an earth elemental, I'd probably use the guy with the hammer for that. We'll see. In this game elements aren't all that important. They don't have tons of different effects on each other since most enemies are just humanoid or beast. I'm not really planning on having the heroes fight tornadoes and bombs.

Oh. I see you improved these a bit. Happy
The last couple are new to me. I like the two headed Skele. Sweet designs!
Fire looks like it cooled off a bit.

First of all, I really don't see how the death angel could be an earth elemental. And secondly, that's not what I mean at all. I just mean that the summons appearance doesn't need to be elemental. It's kind of like Ramuh from final fantasy. He really could've casted anything, but they made him cast lightning. He doesn't necessarily look like he'd cast lightning. A summon's appearance doesn't need to show what element their spell will be. The spell will take care of that.

Wow. Way to make me seem like a pompous ass. Actually, you're right, I was being a pompous ass, and I apologize for that. I am a jerk and I should've just listened to you from the start instead of trying to start some kind of discussion. Trying to get you to like me practically makes me orgasm. You are God.

Contrary to the way you read my statements, I'm very open to criticism. I had actually made some changes to my sprites based on the feedback I got. I switched up some of the summons to make it a little more obvious what they do, since I think that the player's take on the graphics is probably more important than the creators. When I was talking about Ramuh, I thought I was just opening up some kind of discussion of whether summons' appearances needed to reflect what kind of attack they do. You're pretty decent at putting people down though. A+ work. Good sarcasm.

My fire summon is Loki and the bright red just didn't seem very Loki to me. The color scheme was meant to be more Norse rather than Fire.

Anyway, I noticed that the cat summon had fur that looked kind of fiery so i changed up his palette and turned him into a fire summon. And I changed the Loki one to a wind summon since his appearance is already somewhat windy, with his hair flying back. I also changed the death angel's attack from a wind attack to a death attack, a la Odin, since that seems to make the most sense.

You too!

On the subject of the sprites, I very much like the the use of colour, it's unusual, but it offers a lot of character. And the two headed summon is brilliant.

Well you seemed to have a counter for all the criticisms given to you, even though the arguments were reasonable, and I do accept them. What I meant in the last post was in a sarcrastic, but loving way. I do like your sprites, and you said "Tell me what you think", and I did (your clarifications have of course helped me better understand your intentions).

I thought that at first, but I had to cover my bases in case you were being an ass just to be one.

What can I say, Drizzle, you never cease to astound. You're a natural pixel artist.

Great work.
