Please update to Serendipity+, available here and see the updated release notes.

The most serious bugs introduced in the last version have been fixed. It should be quite safe to use.
keyispressed problems are not fixed, but that should be sorted by the next version.

(how about continuing discussion in the other thread instead of this one?)
