MW:Ties of Chaos takes place in the year 1425 (Time period is the
Medieval (including Renaissance) (years 1-1500 3rd Age)), which I didn't include in the About Me.txt file in the zip. I'm on a fairly slow (14.4k) internet access right now, but I will try very very hard to upload my more recent copy, which I hope to have another dungeon or two.

Wow. We came within 25 years of each other, Red. Wink
My guess is The Echo was silenced rather quickly after he was revived.
That's cool. I'll keep that in mind.

You never know, heh. But it takes certain artifacts to seal away this Echo. And all hell will break loose when he is unleashed.

Subtract the battles from my game and maybe you have ten minutes. The battles are the gameplay. This rule should read "not including random battles."

Yeah, I'm leaning more toward the battle every three steps convention when referring to this statement. A game like "And&" would still be an acceptable game under the ten-minute rule, so if yours is like that, you'll be fine. I just don't want to see wide open fields with a bunch of crappy battles against winged bugs, midgets, and the occasional multi-colored blob without clear direction or characters. A game like that would fall apart in this competition.

This is the "finished version." Bugfixes, balance issues, one new battle. The game is more difficult now, though I haven't fully replayed it.

This is my official submission for the Epic Marathon contest.

Um, updated. No change to the game itself, but the file now contains concept sketches and source sketches for the final boss and concept graphics for Mynorety. They have a spoiler warning attached.

When is the official due date for the games? I thought it was by the end of today, is that still true, or was it actually the beginning of today...

It's "the 30th." Last week, "the 23rd" meant "before Pepsi checks the boards on the 24th."

In other words, you have a few hours. If your game doesn't have an ending, give it one and make sure it works.

Okay, I don't know if I'm on time, but here it is. It's not 100% gamewise, but as for the qualifications of the contest, I think it fits.

I know I'm not on time and I know I'm not 100% complete. Big grin
However, I do know you will enjoy getting your asses kicked by a clown.
I think it'll be worth a try. Happy

One thing you might want to know. I left the cheat keys on so you can escape the boss battle if it gets too dicey. I don't think it's beatable (unless your character is at least over lvl 5 and stocked full of Blue potions).
Remember: f4 will be the key to the end game sequence.
And this is act I. I hope to finish act I and act II some time when I get time. Not that it's a big deal. Act II won't take long (It will be a simple rescue mission *cough spoilers cough*).

PS: Enjoy.

Technically, on time meant anytime before 6am EST Saturday (today). But, seeing as how I'm just now getting around to checking things, on time is anything that's currently waiting for me on the Game List. Late would be anything I download after today. So, if you're not posted now, you're officially late. You can still submit your game, but, well you're late.

Anyway, I probably won't get a chance to play these until tomorrow, so if it takes you another day to post, it won't affect judging too harshly. And with that note, enjoy your New Year, stay off the streets, and keep your resolutions for at least one week.
