I would have posted this Tuesday, but it wouldn't let me. It regards the name-changing argument.

Oh ho! But you're wrong! It is not looking for hero:bob, but the number that hero:bob represents! This is why we call them constants. If Bob is hero #0, but is renamed Aeth, then Aeth is still hero #0. Since hero:bob would only be another way of saying 0, if Bob were named Aeth and Aeth equals 0, then hero:bob must equal Aeth.

It's one of the most basic rules of math! if a=c and b=c, then a=b. You said yourself that Game.exe cannot alter your .hsi file, thus there should be no problem here! Your whole reasoning collapses.

'Nuff said.

You're a bit late there, we already established that fact...

Really? I didn't see that anywhere, else I wouldn't have posted.

*GASP!* Watch your language, Eggie! There are hamsters here!

And I'm going to make this topic even bigger... watch!

Know what would REALLY REALLY REALLY be nice? Not having to already have one of such and such item in your inventory if you're going to steal such and such item during battle and USE IT in the same battle. On the same note... if you run out of such and such item, if you steal more during battle you should also be able to use it. Example: In W:P1, if you don't already have at least one Fior2 capsule when you start the battle with ERTHE, then repeatedly stealing them so Meset can chuck them is moot because it won't let you select the item, even if you were to steal 99 of them. And if Meset were to chuck the last Fior2 capsule before Laubea managed to steal another, again it won't let you select the item.

If you hadn't figured it yet... I ran into this problem when I first was playtesting the battle with ERTHE.

I'd like it if you could highlight a certain word in a text box, instead of it just highlighting the whole text box, or mabye you can already do that. If it requires complex scripting, then I'm gone!

No wonder ERTHE was so difficult the first time I fought him. Oookay...;

Yeah, from your review (which I reread quite frequently 'cuz I'm a sucker for compliments) I kinda figured you hadn't tried that tactic, or had forgotten about it. Don't bother having Winger or Laubea chuck the capsules, because though Meset has no spells, he does have a high magic stat. (This isn't exactly a spoiler... just a tactic with no walkthrough to read it in.)

hahaa. i played wingedmene after reading this description and still didn't figure out how to get laubea to steal items.
i mean, he has 'L.B', which has rinkusunne and such *sunne attacks, which take too many mps to keep using them.. perhaps i should have equipped something not the twinflute.

my strategy involved keeping up my hps until wingedmene got enough strength from laubea's strength songs that his quadruple attack dealt >2000hp damage total, killing ERTHE instantly and thereby avoiding his 'extremely powerful' attacks.

yes, that's one of the ways to kill him, probably the easiest way. eventually i plan to give him something to knock strength back down as a counter attack to physical hits (so that you'd have to gain strength for awhile without using that strength).

I guess I should go ahead and mention ERTHE is quite vulnerable to the Yelwe spell...
