Now that I think about it, I think i tried something like this in an older game... only i did it with the show instead opion with the textboxes instead of a script...

Text box #172, which is not part of the script, has the choices enabled; under the conditionals, I have it set to "Run script: Igloo next" and the script starts off checking for the player's answer...

I have made sure to give the NPC text #172 under the NPC characteristics in Custom...

You can remove the script's check, and have the text box check instead. That way, we can avoid a messy script.

That would work, but the "Conditionals" only give you once choice of "Run --- next" and "Run ----- instead"; the "Run next" is being used to next run the Igloo script and the "Run instead" is being used to start with a different text if they have already talked to the NPC in question...hmmm, maybe if I add another text and do it there instead...I'll try that. Thanx!

I was thinking about that today, and I thought "Why not make the lead-in part of the script?" Then, you wouldn't need to use conditionals at all inside the text boxes. What it sounds like is that it's not coming on, but you said three times that it's coming on when it's supposed to. Eh, did you try talking to the NPC in question twice, once to set the tag, and once to see if the tag stayed set? The problem with run next is that it dosen't always run next when it is involved in a conditional choice thingummy...

Got it! Set igloo to run in the textbox following's "run instead" field.
