Very well, a step by step guide it is.
1. Draw a bed that uses 2 tiles, aligned verticaly. Top bit should be a pillow, bottom a blanket.
2. Draw them on the map in the desired location.
3. Press F2 to enter wall mode.
4. Highlight the lower part of the bed and press 'O'.
5. back up to the map data menu and select foot offset.
set the value to an apropriate number. this should be enough so the hero's head will appear above the blanket.
6. Test it and adjust foot offset value as needed.
Just be warned: the foot offset also effects NPC's.
