You shouldn't leave.
*Though if you do... I'll always remember you as:
-The comedy releif on this site.
-A person who was yet to learn the ways, but tryed anyway
-A person who tryed to fit in everywhere - even though sometimes you didnt belong.
-A great person, who is still young and still needs time to grow out of useless youthful mistakes.
-A person... - who would probably return.

Didn't Leroy say he was going to train you or something?

This is as much of a surprise to me as it is to any of you. Our training was starting off good, and I made sure not to offend him by using a lot of the Socratic method.

This is so totally not my doing, because it sounded like RM and I were making good progress. I told him Friday night that the next lesson would be today. I was completely surprised when I finally got back here and that message/ lesson didn't get a response. All I can guess is someone pissed RM off somewhere this weekend and then he got so fed up that he left without even saying good bye to me.

Oh, but we do. Just not in the way you want us to. You see, therein lies your problem. You've got all the attention in the world, just not all the respect that you believe ought to come with it. Ah, well. Maybe you'll live to understand the inner workings of society better someday. Then I'll still despise you. And the spelling from hell.

Don't stumble on the way out.

Precisely. People certainly care about him, but in a negative way in general. Deep down, the bashing is for his own good. If he chooses to listen to the reason why he is being bashed instead of yelling back in self defense, he can fix himself accordingly. I was saving that for him in one of our lessons. But all in all, I think he is doing the right thing by moving on. We will all eventually move on.

No offense meant, Leo, but it all sounds like "1984". As if we have all the answers, and treating him terribly is for his own *good*. Even though I'm a stickler for spelling, being a writer, I'm also compassionate, and try to regard others equally. The only thing I would "fix" was his harassment of other members.

But I'm sure no one did anything to provoke it.

I have a better idea. Instead of treating him like shit for his own good, let's treat him like shit so he leaves. That would be for MY good.

Um, you know what sounds more like "1984"? Someone watching over our posts to make sure that everyone's happy.

The only reason I am replying to this thread at the moment is because RedMage is still on Cp to check his PMs. He will not respond in threads while in training, and I want who ever is curious to know that he is progressing surprisingly fast. The method I am using on him; Socratic method; has always been very effective, making the learner answer his own questions using subtle hints to help. The only con is that it takes a lot longer than some other methods.

I was actually one of the people who didn't treat him like filth. I also agree with you about his spelling problem. I think he doesn't yet realize the importance of using good english on our forum.

I Thank you for that, Bena. No offense taken.

Of course I've read 1984; along with Animal Farm. The former of my own volition, and the latter because of school. I've got Fahrenheit 451 on my bookshelf; I should read that sometime.

I was referring to the Ministry of Love (I think it was) where everybody has to become exactly what you want them to become, or they get hell.

Leo: I'm glad some people aren't oversensitive around here Happy

Hmm... well that's something I'm not in control of; however, everyone here is in control of how others are treated.
