Sorry, I meant getting much better.
I wish I could show you the screenshot I had worked up of a nice forest/cabin lodge (It's not really a cabin, but I don't know how to describe it.) Sadly, it's on my old computer, and my new one doesn't have a floppy drive and my old one needs a CD Caddy for the CD-RW to work, so I'm screwed.
But anyway, starting a fresh new map is a good idea too. I felt my trees were a bit too christmas bulby anyway.
AdrianX: I've already said that my game would have gone in a completely different direction. If you wish to act like such, then be my guest. Just don't expect me to take it seriously. (I'm not trying to be mean or anything, it's just that the game is dead and gone and there is no reason to beat a dead horse that died for a different reason, if you know what I mean.)
And on a side note, I merely meant that I look at Fenrir's games the most, as I like them the most. If you want a full list...
Crescent Dream
City of Dreams
FF H-2
Time Flies
Stop
Timestream Saga
MotherLand 1.5 (Only the maptiles. I don't like the walkabouts.)
Wingedmene
Tilde and the Mask of
There's probably more, but I'm too tired to think of them.
This is mostly practice for my new game, which I conceived long before even knowing of Crescent Dream. No spoilers, but if anyonw would comment on the battle system (Look in Game Design) that would be great too. Sorry to promote another post in my post, but I want to do this game correctly. _________________ Calehay |

Practice makes perfect, as opposed to studying other people's work. Sure, we can all learn a thing or too from the top artists but the only real way of perfecting your drawing skill is simply by drawing. You'll find that over time you'll learn from your mistakes and improve. You may need the odd person to point a few things out to you, criticise.. but all in all it's usually for the better. Like what Rpeanut said, you should strive to be original and find your own style, the gaming world would be a pretty boring place if all the tiles resembled famous games like Final Fantasy or breath of fire. Such rehashings do nothing for a game on the offset. _________________ ~PH
