Run through the "How To.txt" where it shows you step by step how to make a game.

I never used that. Sometimes its better to go through trail and error. The more you try the more you will learn. HECK! the first time I used the OHR RPG CE I thought that "tags" were some higher-grade super macho thing that would take a very long time to learn. So I didnt even bother with them. But now I realise they are one of the simplest things in making games.

thats the same damn ting i thought about switches( a fancy name for tags the other editors use). I felt like a moron when i fund out what they really were.

Did you use RPG Maker 1 (PS, not the computer crap that never should have gotten into the hands of that "translator".)

How did you get yourself here if you never downloaded the OHRRPGCE?

And take a look around the gamelist, you'll find that half the games aren't that decent. So try to make a simple game. If you fail, try again, then if you just can't do it, feel free to hang around in these forums.

that usually only happens when you exit game.exe in a different way other than just quitting

Make sure you exit through the menu or with pgup+pgdn+esc combination. Then that shouldn't happen.

Oh, and btw, you should revive threads this old. People tend to not like it.
