Starcraft would actually be complex enough to work in this situation. However:

He does mention that if someone played a "game" against a computer long enough to figure out all the algorithms and stuff, it would cease to be a game and would instead become a puzzle. I.E: In Starcraft, a zerg computer would always build two hatcheries before it builds its first spawning pool.

I take back my previous statement. Most OHR RPGs are games, but are simple enough that it would take little effort for it to become a puzzle.

I disagree with Mr. Crawford's definition of game then. I think a puzzle is a game, as we have rules (You can't modify the pieces, you have to assemble them in a manner as to redisplay the picture) And you have conflict (In the form of whoever put the pieces in the box, shuffled the solitaire deck, rearranged the Rubix Cube, etc.) . I hold to my definition. As for Pal88, you came in last night, but you never said anything. I tried talking to you, but I got no reply, and after trying for 20 or so minutes, I got tired of trying and went to bed. Maybe we can try again, but I'll probably just be in #OHR.

In this way an RPG is simply any game where you play a role. Monopoly would be a RPG since you play the role of a property tycoon.

And literally, any game where you play a role should be an RPG.

However, the world has come to accept RPGs differently than its literal meaning.

It actually took me until my first time on mushrooms (fun stuff) to realize that, lol.

Back on topic,

Anything that has obstacles and a goal that is fun(to at least someone) to reach is a game.

Puzzles are a subcategory of games, check anywhere. Puzzles won't appear in their own section, its always "Games--Puzzles." If you want to go by some dumbass that jus happened to get a book published views, go ahead. It just means you'll view it a little differently than the rest of the world, but, really, it doesn't matter.

You have learnt nothing from the recent topic reviving arguments. Don't bash him for reviving the topic, bash him for his useless and irrelevant post.
