A. Don't revive dead threads.

B. You're kidding, right?

A. Don't revive dead threads.

B. How is that an RPG? (I guess if your "talking" skill goes up...)

I should make a game like that. I'll see how much people call me a retard and give the game F-'s. Thanks for the idea.

Mr. B actually sent me a design (a long time ago) where you were basically a negoteator and the entire game was just talking.

It was well thought out and seemed really awsome. I'd play it. Happy

So yes, talking rpgs are possible. Just hard. Those types of games are like MMORPGS: the only reason people will play them is because they are addicting (at least in terms of gameplay, I tried to spice up OHR-Date with idiotic dialogue Raspberry!)

People seemed to like OHR Date, and that's basically just talking to people, so no, people wouldn't automatically call you retarded. We'd wait to play the game first.

But I can't make a talking game...I don't have the imagination.

Of course they are. So are non-violent rpg's too. However, I feel a little bit sorry for those, who are more non-violent, while they use Ohr. Looks like, the basic meaning of Ohr is to create Final Fantasy -styled RPG's. Of course plotscripting etc etc etc possibilities gives an opportunity to do something like Ohr-date, but that takes long time and needs expert knowlenge of using Ohr and plotscripting.

How about a game where you're a Karate student who is learning Karate just so that he can never use it. You'd gain points by running away from battles, and you'd lose them by fighting. The challenge of the game lies in the fact that every enemy you face taunts you and calls you names to try to get you to fight, and you must resist the urge to pound his cookie-dough ass and instead walk away like the better man. The insults get more and more profane as you progress to the final boss.

Guys, PLEASE read the dates on these threads before posting on them. Please don't post on anything that's over a month old unless it's your thread and you're updating the content on it.

Reviving a thread isn't that much of an offense, but spamming a revived thread is like double homicide… Raspberry! <- triple homicide!

OHR-Date is incredibly violent, I don't know WHAT you all are talking about. The rape scenes alone give it an NC-17 rating just for violence, never mind profanity and sexual situations.
