Unplug your computer from the internet firstly, then if you're running XP...
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs
Then search for the program you believe is logging your key presses and delete it. Reboot. Reboot. Reboot.
If this doesn't work, there's a program called Blackice (I think) that records, notifies, blocks, and supposedly can even log ip adresses of hack attempts, report them, and even try to crash the offening hacker's computer (or so I've been told).
However the hell you got a key logger is beyond me, unless you downloaded a 'free game' from AOL, AIM, or whoever your ISP is. I've seen some downright wrong stuff packaged along with games that people aren't even aware of. Anyway, good luck with your problem. If nothing else works, just reformat. That'll clear it up. |

Looks like a Norwegian or German service provider. They probably have a terms of use section, where you can write in and complain that one of their members is likely breaking an agreement not to hack other people's computers.
Should this fail, there are a number of various authorities and whatnot that should be very interested in hearing from you about this. You can also try contacting your own ISP and see if they have a solution that will help protect your computer better.
Coincidentally, we tried this same tactic with Knoodle (though he abused his isp's policy not to post offensive writings about other people in public message boards) a few months ago, and I haven't seen him since. |

well Task Manager (the thing you get when you press CTRL+ALT+DEL) should show you a list of all running processes, usually to hide it they'll give it a filename that sounds like a system task, or they'll put it in a system folder, although sometimes you can tell it's a keylogger, that's the first place I'd check, also in WinXP, I know if you run "msconfig" you can check the startup tab and hide all the microsoft processes to view a list of tasks that startup, and if anything seems suspicious just uncheck it _________________ Signature |

If you're really daring, you can poke around in your registry for anything suspicious looking while you're at it. _________________

It's a simple two-step process:
1. Back up anything you want to keep.
2. Format your hard drive.
There ya go. _________________

Heh. Bumping your own thread in less than 24 hours. Interesting.
*points to Fenrir's second post in this thread* There's your answer.
...unless you need it more specific, in which case I'll have to do a little digging to get the precise information. Provided this isn't my insomnia speaking, and me missing something obvious again. :\ _________________ * SDHawk has joined #Minnek
