it's called age, the OHR is quite old... and obsolete...
the only thing can do is to develop something drastic for this engine and impress people with it _________________ If we were a pack of dogs, IM would be a grand Hound, CN would be a very ficious little pitball, and Giz...well, it doesn't matter breed he is, he'd still be a bitch

| I brought this up a long time ago and everyone thought I was an idiot, so this goes to show that they might be wrong, because they now know that I am not alone in thinking this. |

Hopefully Setu is right, because I joined last July and things weren't doing so bad around here either. Maybe when a contest everyone can enter and not spend too much time or commitment on comes around (48 Hours) we could have a turn in events. _________________ ---------------Projects----

| I am very much unknown to the OHR community however I have been a part of it for over a year and a half now. I do not have much to talk about with most of you, for I am still finishing off my first game which began development in March 2003. I am currently balancing out some elements in this game of mine, and am debating in my head whether or not to release a demo. The demo would contain about 40-50% of the entire game though, but I figure I should release something just for the sake of being more involved as well as receiving some feedback. I can tell you right now, this game will annoy some people, but I made it more for myself just for a hobby. So yeah... thats my reason for not really doing/saying much at CP. |

I say we'd need to focus on the contest element of this forum more. Contests make everyone more productive and people tend to make better games whilst under pressure. (I like contests) _________________

whatsay, i try get some more games out
my month holiday has just started, and i can spend a bit more time on my projects.
of course, i will be away when my friends decide to hold a party, that cannot be helped ( )
but seriously, i have this custom-battle engine all figured out and just need to get everything in it done (graphics wise) _________________ If we were a pack of dogs, IM would be a grand Hound, CN would be a very ficious little pitball, and Giz...well, it doesn't matter breed he is, he'd still be a bitch

I sure hope the forum activity gets back up. For me, all I've got is my computer so I log on to the forums at least five times everyday. At least three of those times I am the only person on CP.
But like most people are saying, there are too many topics that are not interesting enough for me to even comment on.
I have seriously been working on Fiend Hunter's next demo for about six hours a day and I'm hoping that it's next release will get a reaction. I hope other people are doing this with their games as well.
And contests...we need more contests. _________________ Gyu, Doh! |

Remember at one time, people said there were way too many contests. Maybe we need quality over quantity? _________________ ---------------Projects----

I agree. Not too many contests or people get agitated and cant find time to do their own thing.
But I think a good quility contest should do well. Something that is well run and will have all the best feedback possible.
I myself have never been involved in a contest. I would really like to try one out. Contests, for me, is a fun thing and I think they will bring some of the members who have been slacking off lately back for some competition. _________________

Heh. Thank you TMC. We need more people to help us make that Epic an EPIC.
Anyway, it is prolly' because of contests that people don't post too often from time time... People gotta get the game done in time, and like Setu said, we have other things going on in our lives as well... I think that sums this thread up.
Right? If not, plz insert Leroy beating here*_*
~Leroy thinks RMZ made this thread to see how many people were paying attention in CP... It was a trap! Run back to your respective games! Quickly! _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...
