Has anyone here ever created a halfway-decent sounding BAM with just ONE instrument? I managed to create two, but I'm not my toughest critic. If you would like to hear them, PM or IM me. Now let me hear about yours!

Honestly, I don't think there is such thing as good BAMs with only ONE instrument. You could have one that's just piano or just strings, but if your whole soundtrack was nothing but that, I'd eventually reach the point of putting a gun in my mouth.

If you're going to do it that way, do a few like that. Otherwise, it'll sound extremely monotonous.

By one instrument, do you mean just using one type (so you can have a bunch of flutes, or strings, or something), or just one single instrument (like pure soloing)?

If it's the latter, then that would be pretty hard to do. It's probably not impossible, but it would take mad skills to make.

After doing a lot of analyzing (and realizing my songs were relatively short) I've come to the conclusion that you two are right. No song with only one instrument is good. As a matter of fact, three instruments is pushing it. However, the piano can be used to create good solo songs (I listened to my friend play the Mario Bros theme on it and everyone applauded).

BAMs that consist only of piano playing aren't that bad. I have a harpsicord one (that I didn't write) that sounds decent as well. It isn't very difficult. In fact, most bams seem to sound better the LESS instruments they have
