It's more like 65%, kid. Most people don't like Final Fantasy games anymore.
I never said I didn't like any Final Fantasy games, I said I don't like it anymore. Every game pre-6 was good, after that they were just trash. |

Honestly, I thought FF7 was awesome, FF8 was good, FF9 was dumb, FFX was okay except for the fact that it lost my interest rather early in the game, and I don't care too much to want to play XI and XII.
I guess that places me in that 1% as well. _________________

I'm actually in favor of IX, but VIII and X were... blah. II wasn't exactly fun for me either.
(I have no judgement on FFXI yet, but I'm willing to bet it won't entertain me for long, if I ever attain it.) _________________ * SDHawk has joined #Minnek

I would simply say that FF6 and before were better on average, not that all the ones after them sucked. FF7 was pretty good, I guess. It goes lower on my list though cause of all the fucking annoying people who act like it's the best game ever made. Also I think I would've liked FF9 if I had played it much, but I never really got around to it. FFT I really liked, and would say was the best of the post-6 games. And as for the pre-6 games, I didn't care for FF2j at all. It wasn't as bad as 8 or 10 though.
I hate when people say FF is the best RPG series, and they don't even look at games like Earthbound or any of the other far superior games. |

I have no idea. Seriously, every time FF is brought up some people come out from wherever and start letting everyone know they don't like it anymore for some reason. It's almost like FF has become a contriversial topic for videogames in the OHR community (The reactions seen in the OHR community haven't been seen anywhere else by me :\ ).
I find it sad that it can't be brought up anymore, because a lot of other games where used as examples... And it's not like I made it go off topic either because I continued to talk about FFXI. NPC conversations in quest based games are very important... To have a discussion about them would be very related tot he topic .
So anyhow... Whatever. |

Generally I absollutly adored FF I through VI, but after that... I kinda' lost intrest because of Sony... Sony's cheap. In fact, (did you know that) the PS2 lens is run on a watch battery.
Anyway, back on topic...
I'll try my hardest to make the sidequests ineresting, and you need not worry about the main quests. I'm making mutliple main quests that all intwine with each other in some way or another. Basically they are the same story in mutiple veiws.
(Goverment veiw) The humans of the western coast have been at a depression in economy, however, their king has developed a grand idea about how to spring back up. The Dark Elves have been at peace with the Phonixes for longer than any can determine, in exchage for protection, the Phonix have been giving the Dark Elves feathers to aid their otherwise low economy. The King of Humans wants in on the deal, and seeks out a summoner named Agora to aid him.
(Mystic veiw) A prophet predicted that the fall of his people (the Dark Elves) may come at the hands of those least worthy of life, and the holder of "The Light" is the only one able to prevent it. Many beleive that the Mudaans are the threat in full, and "The Light" is the lost gift of the Dark Elves to return life to those held close. One known girl has that power, that would reamin as Agora.
(Main Hero's View) Creole awoke one day to find his/her past to be gone. Creole's freinds beleive that it is a side effect to a certian spell cast over his/her new found body. Links to the past have reveal that the former life hadn't been to good to Creole, but something disturbs the hero. Whenever Creole tries to remember his/her fists tighten and rage runs through his/her veins. Note--This hero's gender is changable.
That doesn't really go all the way back to topic though, bt I really am trying my hardest to make the sidequests interesting (even though right now I'm working on the spell lists). There wont be too many "find this item for me" unless I get bored one day and can't think up anything better. Most will fall under either Vengence, Resque, Justice, Detective, Theivery (way different from find that item), Minigame, or Escort.
If that isn't easy enough to understand, then... I don't know... I would awnser every question, but my personal computer at home doesn't have internet, and it's the only one we've got. |

Well, there's no reason to delete the topic (I like to keep as many topics as possible, good or bad (Exception are horrible posts, which are.. Racist junk and so forth) as it's part of CP's history), so if you really want something done to this topic I can close it until you get back or whatever...
I'll do that I guess, but PM me if you change your mind . |
