That is no fault of Grandtrain's, but rather a fault of the engine's, and I think it has something to do with scripts and battles. I remember when I played Babel when it was released on the version of the engine that it was made on and it played quite well. So I guess we may have discovered a backwards compatibility bug here. I need to check it out myself...and I will this week, so I can see for myself what's going on here. _________________

There I just finished my review on Babel. With any luck one of you admins will take a look at it sometime in the next day or so. Anyways, there's only like two games are left standing from all the reviewing. And as usual, Shadowiii overdid himself by writing a humungous review for that awesome game Crescent Dream. Well, we need some new games up there for next weeks challenge right? _________________ ---------------Projects----

That review (Crescent Dream's) passed Pepsi Ranger's Review of "Autumn Dream" by 200 words, making it the longest review here.
Not that I was paying any attention when I was writing it. Urg, I have to stop writing such bloody long reviews... _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

Sadly, this may be longer by only two words probably:
http://www.castleparadox.com/forum/review-display.php?review=40
A wasted review it is too, since the score doesn't count on accord of a feature I suggested, and the fact that the game's too damn long for anyone to finish (FFHx2). Long reviews are good though. They have plenty to touch base on. |

That review has 3,800 words, Fenrir. Wow. (mine still beats it, it was 4k) _________________ But enough talk, have at you!

My Babel review is up now. Looks like only two games are left standing from the first reviewer's challenge. The Arfenhouse game made by Seppel. And Mr.Triangle's Maze Madness. Oh and my review for Crescent Dream is in the process of being checked. That game was trully good. _________________ ---------------Projects----

| Assuming that Aeth fulfills his promise to write a review, one of those games is most likely going down before sunday night. |

I wrote a (terrible) review. Haven't done it in awhile. Do I get a lollipop for it now?
Actually, this challenge makes me want to review games again. |

Heh, when did reviewing become a pissing contest?
Oh well, if we're comparing word counts, you still have more than a thousand words to write if you want to top the word length for Lolsidothaldremobine's review (found on O:OHR). It's technically not a CP review, but then again it would be a pain to try and fit it here.

I will, I will. I actually started on it but then my browser messed up and my review got annihilated. I'll write it tomorrow. _________________

It seems lately that reviews are popping up like jackrabbits in heat. That's a good thing. MCW and I are somewhat trying to get the whole lot of games at CP with at least one review. Which I think is a good thing. _________________ ---------------Projects----

Aeth, do what I do when I write reviews. Type it out in Word or Notepad, then copy/paste to the browser. That way you don't have to worry about losing the review.
I'd prolly review Arfenhouse 4, but I don't care enough right now. Maybe later this week...

Uncommon is right Aeth. Especially if you have parents who yell at you for being online. You can just write your review in WordPad or Notepad and easily copy and paste it into the review boxes. It speeds up time too, because when you're typing in Notepad it looks like you're doing less than you are.
But I think this weekend was overkill on reviews. We had like 5 reviews in three days. That's astounding. Well CN, what's the next reviewers challenge? _________________ ---------------Projects----

CN, I'm reviewing a game that was on the "A-list" at one point this week but got dropped because of a review in this challenge. I would change, but I don't have time to prepare another review. _________________

If he says "Now lets review all the BAD games and see if they really are bad!" then I'll go insane.
Though I like the original idea (review top games and see if they are worth their salt) there are still quite a few games that are good that don't have many reviews. Maybe the next challenge coudl be to review one of the games on the top 5 downloads. That one would take a few weeks or maybe even months to finish, though. I'm still not done with Timestream Saga. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |
