BeyondIRC's Ragnarok Online has reopened using an invite system very similar to Livejournal's. I was tempted to rejoin (I will hate you for this, Yoshi) and I now have three invite codes. So if you want to try out or play Ragnarok Online, now's your chance. Be warned, however:

A. It can get laggy at peak times (80 or so players), even on broadband.

B. You need a decent computer to run it. I'm not sure exactly what the minimum specs are, but here's what I recommend (with my specs in parentheses, and keep in mind the game runs very smoothly for me with everything pumped up):

1ghz or better processor (1.6ghz Pentium 4)
16MB or better video card (64MB NVidia GeForce 2)
A monitor capable of running resolutions in 1024x768*, although 800x600 works okay too. (1280x1024)
256MB of RAM (although 128 works okay too) (512MB)

C. The client download is 600MB. Be willing to download this.

The first three people who respond to this saying they're interested will get the codes. I will give you the codes over AIM or via PMs if you don't have AIM.

Oh yes, and if you've played on some other RO server (International RO or whatever), your characters are not transferrable, so you'll have to restart. Sad...

And yes, I do realize this isn't related to the OHR, but I figured this is the best way to extend the invite to you people.

* This is ESPECIALLY important if you wish to play the Archer or Mage classes, *especially* Archer as they have bar none the best range in the game and you want to make the most of it. I play on 1280x1024 and I'm playing an Archer this time (for once I'm not a Mage, tee hee) and I can still hit stuff just barely off the edge of the screen.

I'm interested, but it might be better for me to get the code further dwn the OHR ladder, as i plan to invite at least 2 people from out of the community.

Hey, your post just reminded me of something that I forgot to mention...you get your own set of codes to distribute when you join (just like LJ), so you can use those to invite your own friends or whoever. Raspberry!

Oh, that's no big deal, I doubt there are too many people who want to play anyway. I could be wrong, though.
