I don't know if anyone remembers this or not, but Jared just won't give
it up.
http://www.jaredgames.tk
He's advertising and even SELLING some of the OHR Community's games;
Dimensions, Wandering Hamster, and Way of the Wizard to name a few.
You might wanna yell at him or something. >_> |

I have been looking at this jaredgames page, and am... shall we say... very annoyed. You can find my first complaint on his message board at http://www.dream-tool.net/tools/messages.mv?index+gameplay
What I would like some help with is in contacting ALL the authors which jared is stealing from. I immediately recognize serveral well-known OHR games, but I don't know the current contact information for all of them. I am sure some can be found with a quick look in the Game-list, but others will require deeper digging. Here is the list of games that Jared claims to have written, and that he is trying to sell:
Code: |
Alien Lingo
Aster Strike
Basket Ball Blitz '02
Blood Rage Raven
The Break of the Katana
BugDom
BugDom 2
Cat Scratch City
CowBobs
Cro-Mag Rally
Cupoland
Dragon Ball Z: De Ja Vu
Dragon Ball Z: Saiyans Attack
Dimensions I
Dimensions II
Edo
Eon Blue
Entropic Order
Final Fate
Galatic Surge
Gurb and Shoe
Hereitic
JCFace
Kallasta
Lost Lands 1
Lost Lands 2
Monterey Penguin
Optical Eye
Pod Escape
Revenge of Ryuki
Star Battles
True Wonders
Velvet Rose
Wandering Hamster
War Hog
Ways of the Wizard

A little more info.
http://www.jaredgames.tk/ is just a redirection to http://www12.brinkster.com/jaredgames/
I have already sent a detailed complaint to Abuse@Brinkster.com
A closer examination of his site shows that it is mostly unfinished. He only seems to have fake "official" sites up for Cowbobs, Wandering Hamster, Cat Scratch City, EDO, and Pod Escape.
I don't immediately recognize "Pod Escape", but it is obviously an OHR game, as it uses PSTUTOR.RPG graphics :)
I tried the links to "Buy" games but none of them seem to work for me (maybe my browser) |

Ugh, this again? It was around this time of year I discovered his "bunsiness" a year ago . I think it was Harlock who e-mailed him, and he said it was just a "school project", and he shortly removed his webpage after that.
Obviously this kid (Yes, kid. His personal site is http://www.jareds.tk/) is a lying weasel. I'd keep my eyes open in the future (I was watching for months afterwards and didn't see any activity, so I just stopped). He's done it twice now... I'm sure he'll figure he might as well see if we can strike out completely.
JSH, may I ask what you did to come across his webpage again? |

Oh. I was rereading some reviews and came across the reviews of OMG TIZ GAYM ROXORZ; so I played it again to see what I wrote in it, and I saw the URL and decided to see if his site was still around. I thought he had been shut down already. |

Expect a righteous beating/molestation of this guy in OHR-X and BS:OHR's satyrical comics. At least a funny comic will give people something to smile about in the face of this blatant theft. Good work for noticing this guy's still around and telling the rest of us. |

Fenrir, nothing about OHR-X is funny, has been funny, or will ever be funny; barring some sort of devine miracle / lobotomy on my part.
It has all the wit and art skill of disability grapevine, only it lacks the universal punchline (OHR-X is nothing but in jokes so singular I barely get them) and excuse of being written by a handi-capable person. _________________

Uhh... That's funny, but a weird type of funny. I need someone funnier than that.
I find it pretty pathetic to see that someone is actually trying to sell OHR games, probably without permission. I mean, some of the games might be good enough the SNES or GBA, but still, this is really stupid. It's really good that someone caught him before he actually illegally sold his first game, if he already hasn't. There are so many angry things I could say, but relatively I'll say that he is a big idiot for doing that. It's good that James put a notice stating that he should stop. If that fails, we could always just spam- Ahh... No... Better not. |

... well, at least he wasn't claiming ownership of W:P1 again. (Brief history lesson for those who weren't around last time: Jared posted W:P1, took the description off of CP (not including the note about Rinku simply uploading the game) and altered it to make it sound like I was working with Jared to make the game.) _________________ LJ.Art
