My favorites top 5 is becoming popular, so I will post.
1.) Walthros
2.) Arfenhouse!!! #!!1
3.) Walthros mercenaries
4.) TimeStream saga (good game, but I dont like long cut scenes.)
5.) (This is one of the halloween games, but heck) Run, Run, Zombie revolution!!!
( I might be forgetting some things... However I am sure that I was fair. I didnt choose any games from RPGExcel, so just be content.)
PS: Playing through some more games. I will get back to you later. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Well, what I meant by that was that I loved the whole story, and thought it was completely original. I hadn't played FF6, Chrono Trigger, etc, and now I realise that good chunks of the story in places is rather 'similair' to something in a squaresoft game. (eg. the one where I get sucked into a furturistic world) It's still good.
(And I still haven't finished! After I put down the demo and then played the full version months later, I forgot all the tactics and use of spells, and get my ass wooped everywhere) _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Timestream Saga (TS1) is apparently the more popular one compared to FFH, and TSSE is getting consistently high marks considering that's it's only a 3-4 hour demo (which means I am doing something incredibly good).
*Kills FFH-2 and shifts all remaining focus to TSSE* |

Well, from FF6 the the themeline "Time flows in rivers", and the general theme of a great disater repeating itself is pretty similair, and the bit where part of your party are walking throught a futuristic wasteland - that reminded me of 2300AD in chrono trigger like nothin else.
But, the PLOT is pretty original, its just a couple of the theme/ side quests that seem suspicously similiar. I still think its got one of the best OHR storys! _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Like the dark world in Zelda!
Just kidding, I actually thought the story was really original. I mean, you can look at almost ANY RPG now-a-days, commercial or otherwise, and say it "bases" off other ones, but HEY once you've seen something you like you tend to mimic it in your work subconciously, even if you intentionally try to AVOID copying it.
Uh...yeah. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |
