I refuse to post my game anonomously for one MAJOR reason...

Specifically you'd know without even looking that it would be mine, on account of the graphics and potentially 2 or 3 characters. For these reasons alone, I refuse to play the part of 'mysterious' entrant, and simply concentrate on releasing a completed game with a haloween theme.

Yes, MCW, I CAN turn *DER PROJECT OF SEKRIT!!!* into a haloween themed game. And since I cannot spell Haloween, I'm calling it OKTOBERFEST!!!1. So from henceforward, whenever I refer to my game, it shall be known as OKTOBERFEST!!!1, even though that's not the real name.

I think you should place your name all over your rpg. However, when linking to all the entries, it should all be labeled "Halloween 1", "Halloween 2", and so on. If anything else, it ensured that each person actually plays the games before voting.

Just a thought from a potential voter.

Thanks Fen. I know that some of us have mass amounts of fans (cough cough Fenrir cough cough!) and then there are some of us who just have fans. But it would still be too regonizable to people to know who's game is whose. But I stand beside Fen on this argument.

Seeing as how some people have complained, and others refuse to abide by it, I guess anonymity isn't really required,so tatoo the darned thing to your head if it pleases you.

It was a good idea, but it should have been a requirement if you really wanted to enforce it, Gizmog.

Plus, it would probably be too hard to pull off. Some people would refuse (Fenrir), some people would be retarded and forget (me), while others would be anonomous but then put their name somewhere in the game (me again). Anyway, it is good in theory, but too difficult to execute...

Eh.

Unless I am mistaken, everyone entering now has two weeks to complete their submissions for the contest.

Due to production time slowdowns, I may not be able to release a completed game by the due date. I blame about 10 people a day asking when the graphics tutorial will be done, or those asking for help on their projects. As a result, I am entering a period of silence to concentrate fully on it, so I can release a demo (hopefully near complete) with as much content as possible. Consider this akin to 'radio silence'. Hopefully, if all goes well, everyone will recieve a completed game, but regardless of what happens, I plan on continuing this game. But first to tidy up some business...

Gizmog, you'll recieve your images for your game the day before the project is due. Simply suppliment alternate ones with odd numberings on them or whatnot until the actual graphics go in.

And for everyone asking about the GFX tutorial, lay off. Honestly, if my skills are as legendary or as good as so many people think they are, then my teaching others how to draw would be akin to teaching a horse to perform advanced trigonometry. Simply put, I cannot teach years of experience at drawing, nor spriting, to someone who has little to no formal education in the arts with ONE tutorial. Regardless of that, I will endevour to write said tutorial, regardless of my doubts about my ability to successfully teach others and pass on the knowledge of my skills. I try to keep my word.

Doesn't that just spit in your potato salad! Well, good luck to ya Fen. Anyways, Gizmog, about how many people do you have registered for this contest anyways? Because, depending on how many people you have participating, depends on how long the voting process is right?

I don't have people registered. Basically, they just send it in on the required date. They don't have to even say they're doign one, so long as it's in before the deadline. I have no clue how many people are working on games.
