(Sigh)
Been a while since I've been able to find time to work on my video-game projects.

My apologies to anyone anticipating my game - I'm busy and I'll remain busy for a time yet. I've been working on my bloody never-quite-good-enough thesis, been getting married, developing an art portfolio for animation school (and I didn't get in, I'm just on the waiting list :-( ), and beginning to think seriously about a web comic.

I've learned a lot about modeling and rigging in Blender. It might be fun to do 3D graphics and then import some cool sprites into the OHR. You know, like Donkey Kong Country.

One of these days I'll get back to programming the winds, I promise!

I'm personally glad to hear that you'll eventually get 'round to making S&S, I was very interested in this game from dot Raspberry!.
Congratulations on getting married (did you mean past tense or did you mean you're in the process of getting married?).

I'm also interested in this web comic; any details on it, is it in development, or have you already started it up?

EDIT: My grammar, sentence structure and spelling is atrocious, corrected post to make slightly more sense :S

I'm really excited that this isn't dead. Take your time. We'll all be patient.

been getting married

Congratulations, whatever exactly that means :)

And I'm pretty pleased as well to hear that this isn't dead.

I'm a bit behind the times, so I'm not sure if there's multi-threading yet.
If it was available for use, I might try and get a boulder-beast battle up and running.
If I understood the whatsnew.txt correctly, the map slice bug is fixed, yeh? You can put sprites behind map layers now?

Still no progress on the script interpreter. I'm also too busy with my degree to work on it, but there's only 3 weeks left to go!

Although I'm absent, Jay is ploughing ahead with work on graphics-related engine features.

Yes, that map layer slice bug was fixed.

Always nice to know that there are people who are pleased when made aware that I am not dead.

"Been getting married" - Ok yes, that's quite vague. I failed to mention whether or not the process marriage was completed.
It was.
I am also still married...
To the same wife even.
Oh, and we plan to remain married - to each other only, and for a long time.

The comic is called "Mathematikoi". It's about a galactic civilization of alien researchers who fear cultural collapse when they discover that they've run out of math.
Most of the characters are designed, the overarching plot is set, and I have a number of dialogues written out. A number of test sequences are drawn ... but I don't think they will be final.
The website isn't set up yet. I really need to get a few things straight about how the story will go, how I am going to approach the art etc.

By the way, does anyone here use a tablet for digital painting/drawing? I'm stuck, eternally debating with myself how expensive a tablet I want to get.

Booya! Slice bug fixed!
Clouds no longer will need to have their shadows hover in midair.
