My game, Saminaster & Sorcery has a similar grouping system.
The game has puzzles, which are a lot better when working with several groups.
Maybe it's a back-compat issue, but I get glitches in your game when you hit 1 or 2 more than once in a row.
My system works almost exactly the same as yours, but I like your idea of using the numbers to activate a given hero.
I'm gonna do that.
I also like using a key that isn't "use" to link groups. That way you can talk to the other guy.
I'm gonna implement that too.
Thanks for the ideas! _________________ Working on rain and cloud formation |

I doubt it's a backward compatible issue, since it was buggy way back in 2002, too. Has partly to do with the fact that I'm an average scripter. Once I get back to work on that and the other game of mine that uses that system, I'll probably figure out how to implement the safeguards.
Glad it can help, though. That system isn't used enough. _________________ Progress Report:
