Review # 1 for Xerian
Them's Fightin' Words
Totally... Gihern! is a 48 hour game in which three computer nerds dressed up as their favorite pop culture characters, intercept an instant message from some possible dark forces?? They head off to find the source of the message and find the intentions the sender may have...
The graphics were unique and fair. I found the walkabout of "Grimace" hilarious although I think he is purple, not pink. I think the graphics were very detailed but there wasn't much variety to the building you explore. The enemies however are mostly various and interesting to see.
The game involves use of a lot of popular characters. I did not know some of them however so that is my problem. The story is rather average but still interesting. The dialouge I found to be intriguing and each character had a distinct personality. Grimace however can talk but he hardly does but I suppose there is some humor with the way he was developed in the game.
As for outside of battles, all you do is head deeper and deeper into the building you're presented with while fighting other characters along the way. You can collect Dino King Emblems but I do not see what their purpose is.
As for the battles, you do not level up so using your MP sparingly is vital and since you cannot revive a character once they're dead it's important to keep your HP up. The battles are fairly easy if you know what you are doing. At the end the game reviews your overall playing and gives you a grade so running from all the battles and missing Dino King Emblems kind of ruins the gameplay since that's the main idea.
  Map Design
The building you enter is straightforward. Not much else to say except you might find this rather bland.
The game is fairly balanced but you may have to work carefully to win the battles you fight. It's actually pretty easy but for some it may be difficult if you're not careful.
There was not much music and I can't be sure whether they were original or not. However I enjoyed them so that's a good thing.
I found the game to be enjoyable and I actually played it over once. I think it's a good game to invest a few minutes into so go try it.
Final Blows
For a 48 hour game I suppose this must be pretty good and I enjoyed it. If you haven't already tried it, go do it now!

Final Scores
Graphics: 8.5/10.0
Very nice but a little more variety would have spoofed it up.
Storyline: 5.5/10.0
I found the storyline to be average although I enjoyed some of the little jokes here and there.
Gameplay: 8/10.0
Some strategy is involved in playing but once you get it down it's fairly easy. For a good score it's a good idea to find all the Emblems and winning all the battles.
Music: 9/10.0
I liked the music a lot but I'm not sure of its originality. If it is original, very good. There is only a few but I liked them all.
Enjoyment: 9/10.0
I enjoyed it. Need I say more?
Overall Grade: A-
Final Thoughts
Grimace is actually purple and he can talk too.
