This is us in a recent rehearsal. What we did was have a friend tape us playing our current set in our practice space.
*I recommend starting the video at 8:00 in; before that is warming up and idle chat.
*I have a crap PA though, so sorry for the unclear vocals.
*We save the "catchy" tunes for a little later in the set, so give the set a chance to grow on you if you find yourself twiddling your thumbs in the beginning.
Our myspace is linked in my signature. _________________ SACRE BLEU!

I like this, though often everything was (no surprise) drowned out by the drums.
I imagine it must be difficult to write two drums lines that the listener can easily differentiate, and most of the time it sounded like they were playing in unison, though there were a few times when I could tell them apart, and it sounded rad. As weird as it sounds in a critique about a band with two drummers, these parts made me want the drums to be even _more_ in the forefront. The drummers have good chops too; they never sounded sloppy while playing unison (though sometimes it's hard to tell due to the recording quality), even during the rolls.
Anyway, looking forward to more... |

If the PA weren't so crappy (radioshack brand... yeah), we'd have been able to have everything loud enough to match the drums. Glad you liked it though.
Yeah spoon, it's a 45 minute set or so. The video's like watching one of our shows (sorta). _________________ SACRE BLEU!

Didn't watch all of it, but what I saw I was quite impressed with.
Two Drummers! This I found especially excellent, but I would definitely like to hear more polyrhythms.
One bit did bother me a little: the bassist had a tapping solo section, and I don't think it worked on the instrument, but that might have something to do with the recording quality.
Good job! _________________ Moogle no longer owes prizes. |

Thanks Jabber!
By the way. Don't spread the video anywhere guys, apparently we're not going to release it for general viewing. _________________ SACRE BLEU!
