NetHack is one of the hardest games I've played that is still possible to win. The first time I played NetHack was well over ten years ago. Every so often since then, I've replayed it and failed miserably. But you learn a little more every time you play, and after more than a decade of making stupid mistakes, I was finally able to win one. You really can't understand this game or how much actually winning it means if you've never played it or any of its roguelike family.

This was a new year's resolution for me and is the first to be crossed off my list. Hooray!

It's probably beaten daily around the world. There are some very good players out there who can win almost any game.

Congratulations...that is a very tough game.

I played it a little, but was too horrible at it. I stuck with Angband, probably primarily because there is an unlimited amount of food to buy!

Seriously -- you earned that win.

which means one of two things:
a) women can't do it because they don't need it aka (they're already intelligent)
or
b) women can't do it because they cannot become demi-god (aka more intelligent)

Either way, I have to be right because right now Moogle1 is greater than anyone on this forum, except for James Paige.

(ok ok, i dont mean it as its impossible, but since you brought this game up, and you seem to like it, I'm sure you'll find 3 good reasons for me to try my luck)

It is a text game played the same way most graphical games. In fact, some versions of Nethack come with graphics frontends that allow you to look at in-animate sprites.
