|
|
I'm new to OHRRPGCE and whenever I try to use teleport to map or use
door, it jumps to a completly different place then I want it to. Also, I'm not sure what HSI files are. Do I have to make them manually, or does the export HSI thing in the Script Management make it for me. Whenever I try it I get an error message. (Using ozarks.) |

Okay. Here we go.
HSI File - When you go under the Script Management option on the main menu of CUSTOM, you'll have the option to export to HSI or import a script. Of course, I'm sure you know what script importing is for, but the HSI stuff creates an HSI file which contains the names you specified for your heroes, maps, items, attacks, stats, and so on.
Teleport to map and Door Use -- As far as door use goes, make sure that the door you are using is linked to the other door that you want the hero to come out of. Concerning teleportation, you have to specify the (X,Y,map) that it's going to take them to. It should work. I've never known anyone to have problems with it. _________________

Close. It's actually
teleport to map (map, x, y)
X is the # of tilesquares over to the right it is, y is the # of tilesquares down it is. If you go into map editor and go to the area you want the hero to teleport to, the editor will tell you the X and Y.
Also, remember teleport DOESNT FADE THE SCREEN OUT. Also, when you use doors, remember its the door on whatever map they are currently on, and remember to link them. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

Sorry for the lateness if my reply (forced to use library internet.) It seems that the camera wasn't focused on the hero. I placed that command at the beggining of my intro script and it worked perfectly.
As for HSI exporting, I'm experiencing the Please send an error report to... If anyone else is having a problem, pleas post and I will send an error report. (using ozarks.) |

When you try to export an HSI it says: "Please send an error report to..." ?
And if so, why haven't I recieved an error report yet? :)
Just so you know, HSI files are totally optional. They are only useful if you want to use names like Hero:Bob or Map:Overworld rather than using ID numbers for things. |

Sorry I haven't sent an error report. I just wanted to make sure this was happening to everyone because my computer is a little unreliable. |
