i don't think that's true -- the only one who had a mushy view of what it is is no_shot and those who listened to him. everyone else knows what it is.
also, i don't think that things about which no one agrees on should for some reason automatically be mocked. a lot of people don't agree on what god is, or on what game design is, or on what life is. that doesn't give you an excuse to mock any of those things.
