Basically what will end up happening is that you choose a game you think is worthy of making it in, and then make a poster of it. Something inspiring, that features important characters in dramatic poses... you know, like a movie poster. Something to advertise that game. At this rate we'll get several submissions for at LEAST 18 or 20, so even if we can only have 12, we could STILL do another calender with alternates in it, ie the ones that weren't in calender A. Regardless of that, we're flexible, and will work out a deal to satisfy as many people as we can. For the time being though, just produce some kick ass posters of the games of your choice. If there's duplicates, we can vote on which one goes in, or even sell them as single items at the store. Regardless of whatever's done, we need these as fast as you can churn them out.
Coincidentally, a special Arfenhouse poster is in the works that...

I'd be willing to make a poster for Axle or Mr.Triangle if anyone else thought it was a good idea. But I'd need somebody to let me know if they wanted one of em. _________________ ---------------Projects----

i should point out that no size or dpi was mentioned. if not a dpi, we all should at least be working with the same dimentions. _________________ LJ.Art

I'm assuming it's 11x8. Maybe it's bad to assume, but I'll resize it if it's otherwise =P
I'd also like to announce that ES has reached 200 downloads |

oh, and while i'm thinking on it... is there a prefered file type? gif (dear gryphon lord, no)? jpg? psd? whatever-psp's-equivelant-of-adobe's-psd-is? bmp (hahahahahaha!!!!)?
while a psd unflattened (at 11x8.5, 300dpi) would be huge (trust me, i know. the unflattened malacat.psd has over 30 layers and is on the top side of 100mb)... it is of course pretty much the picture equivalent of leaving an ohr file unpassword protected, and does print more cleanly than most other options. that would be assuming that it could be sent because to the best of my knowledge, most email and (free) web hosting services do not allow more than 100mb to be sent at once.
okay, so jpg is looking like the most obvious option, but still... i do need to ask... just in case there is another preference. _________________ LJ.Art

That's actually a very good question. I myself have used jpg for the longest amount of time, though for high quality images, I much prefer the PNG format now. It has roughly the same quality as a bmp, but is about 33% smaller on average. TIFF is only 25% smaller, and not all applications use it. JPG blurs your image severely, so if you'd rather have a noticable decreace in quality, go for jpg. Coincidentally, the images I've used on the CP store have been PNG, and if you need image hosting, mail or transfer the picture to me, and I'll stick it on CP's server.
As for the actual image size, stick to roughly within Inferior Minion's calculations, and you'll be fine. |

another question (oh, i'm just so full of 'em!): i told rinku about the calendar (because his name was mentioned in an above post) and he asked me a question of which i could not put an answer to from the top of my head, nor can i seem to find the answer on my own (maybe i'm just blind...). where does the money from the sales go? _________________ LJ.Art

The money generated from this will go to one of two things that I am aware of. Of course, most of it goes straight to Cafepress whether we like it or not. There is also a $1 charge by CP itself, mostly to continue to pay for things like, say, the site itself and the various other functions, and whatever's left over is divided amoung the artists who contirbute to it. That's about the best answer I can think of. Other than that most of it will go solely to Cafepress because they actually run off these things. |

All the money that CP gets from the store goes to the users in one way or another.
We really don't have profit on our minds, we want to buy OHR items as much as you do. _________________ You got film in my video game!

And...for the record, it's a 50 cent mark-up for CaslteParadox. The rest of the price is determined by the artist. _________________
