I still keep up with Shaede, who was involved with FFG development if not in charge of it. Last I heard, KainMinter was still working on it, but in the "don't expect it anytime soon" sort of way. _________________

The last time I heard about FFG, they were moving it over to RPGM2k3. I was supposed to do some of the music for it, but I haven't heard much about it since. _________________ Calehay |

No, both are still in production, just not for the OHR. _________________ Tower Defense Game |

Outside of the OHR community, Sword of Jade and a couple of other games like Missing and Wandering Hamster are probably the most mentioned OHR games (I see them mentioned in conjunction with the OHR all the time). And you can't honestly name many hotly discussed games within the OHR community. It's pretty off-topic.

I second this. SoJ and Missing have about 10,000 downloads each, mainly from people outside of the OHR community. I still get fan mail for SoJ every few months or so, even though I didn't make the game and I just host it on my website for Charbile and Fyrewulff. _________________ Tower Defense Game |

If any of these people were in the community, anticipating the game before, discussing the game now, or were so inspired as to make their own games and be discussing them with us, you'd have a point. Instead, all we have is the ghosts of your imaginary friends, who are apparently so foolish as to not even read the credits and know who it is they should be praising.
I've shown Magnus, Piccolo's Quest and all sorts of things to people outside who were as impressed as all get out that someone had made these games. If it has an audience outside the community, that's great, but it sure would be nice to see 10,000 people monthly running through here, making games. And until I see them, I consider it anticipated and forgotten by the OHR Community.
(Not to say of course, that the OHR Community hasn't forgotten nearly everything it ever anticipated) |

Oh, I agree that those games are anticipated and forgotten among the OHR people, but there are a lot of people who don't make games, only play them, and among those people those OHR games are not forgotten. _________________ Tower Defense Game |
