You should talk to Fenrir Lunaris about it, if he allows then I will change it to picture, its not that hard to do. I am sure that nudity is not allowed to be displayed openly here, and it also violates one of my rules as well.
that is: 5. If your picture has nudity, please post a link only with a "Not safe for work" text or some kind of warning.
I am not a mod here, so I cannot allow what is not allowed, sorry. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.

As I just said, my entry is not unsafe for work; therefore, your rule doesn't apply. If there is a no nudity rule here (it certainly is not clearly posted), I'm sure its intent is to guard against pornography. Presenting my work as pornography only further excludes it from potential voters, and is extremely insulting not only to me as an artist, but to women everywhere.
But, to make you happy, I will PM Fenrir. _________________ My art (and random photos)! |

Yes, but labeling it "NSFW" would clearly be a falsehood. I refuse to lie about the content of my work. It seems like that rule was designed specifically to exclude high art. Perhaps I should cancel my entry and submit some hentai, just so I can fit within your guidelines. _________________ My art (and random photos)! |

Not to disparage your piece Nerpenthe (I think it's great), but it really is not safe work. Remember, not every boss is an art critic, and as someone who does occasionally surf CP at work, I really wouldn't want my boss to see it on my screen. Again, no comment on the piece itself, just the prudish reality of some workplaces.
So yeah... I can see why some people might want it labeled not safe for work. |

Fenrir's told me in the past that Artistic Nudity is allowed to be displayed here, so long as the thread's somehow marked "NOT SAFE FOR WORK". I think making his entry a link when the others are images, without giving it any mention or anything as "Not Safe For Work" or why it's just a link isn't fair in terms of judging. Just mark the Image Thread "Ms. Pixel Voting Image Heavy Maybe NSFW", and make it an image. |

http://castleparadox.com/ohr/viewtopic.php?t=1444&start=15
The whole bit about Artistic Nudity is only briefly covered. And Gizmog is indeed correct in his understanding of the ruling on this. The ruling against directly linking to nudity is specifically to discourage pornography from being readily viewable to minors, and also helps to cover Castle Paradox's members in the event some overzealous parent decides to "make the internet safe for the children". Realistically though, this is a load of crock, as pornography is readily availible to minors anyway. Nonetheless, a large percentage of our members are underage, and it is against many ISP policies for them to have ready acess to anything that could be considered smut, including nudity. If anyone is to blame, it is the orwellian dictatorship of the "religious right", that hates great art and despises life, imposing their overreaching view of morality and ethics upon others. See Rinku on this for a more detailed explaination.
It is true that Nepenthe's work depicts nudity -ARTISTICALLY- and in a serious manner. I would encourage such attempts at fine art by our members as well. For those who would seek to raise their level of culture, I would highly reccommend they view the work he has made. Nothing in the rules is against it anyway.
