Woohoo! Actually, I didn't assume that, so it's very good to hear. You are probably well aware that the biggest help I'll need is in the graphics department. Maybe you can even convince Kain to help.
Anyway, I'm about to upload Mageclash to the gamelist... look for it soon. |

Actually, Kain is leading me to believe that my sprite / graphic making abilities are far better then I give myself credit for these days. I think I can do really nice graphics for Mageclash. I'd definatly be willing to.
If you look at the battle backgrounds for FFG, those were all drawn by me, then textured / colored / remastered / digitalized / etc by Kain. Also, many of the boss (and a few regular enemies, too) designs were drawn by me in the conceptual sense. Again, Kain is the master of making them look great in the OHR.
So I think I can handle making them for a game in the future after I perfect my computerizationifications of my drawings. |

Sweet! Then that'll be the original Mageclash crew. Reminds me... I wanna get my website up and running for my "concept art" section. (I can draw much better than I can pixelate.) |

I'll have a look at MageClash.
Quote: | I'd recommend gifs, myself. Its not like the OHR handles more colors then a gif can. Also, gifs are more browser friendly. |
Why? gifs are larger than png's, MSPaint (which almost every non-artist seems to use) can't handle bmp --> gif conversion to save its life, and pngs have been supported by every single major browser for years and years. Just a few minor ones can't handle more advanced features of pngs like transparency and animation. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

PNG is actually heavily supported nowadays. All of the most used browsers do support it. It's a better image format than GIF, in my opinion. _________________

Nope. GIF is a really archaic format. It can do true-color, but it requires of a bit of a hack to do, it only has one-color transparency (no alpha, which PNG has), and programs that use it tend to do horrible conversiion (the aformentioned MSPAINT, which has PERFECT png support, except you can define alpha channels, but that's for another discussion)
I really wish IM would let people use PNG as their screenshots. Every browser supports it. If any of you are having problems, uninstall Quicktime or make it un-associate itself with PNG. _________________

Which is exactly why it works well for OHR screenshots, which don't need true color or complicated transparency. They are small, efficient, and MS Paint -will- save your files as gifs.
This is off topic, though. I'm not going to bother with this anymore.
Sorry for spamming up your thread, Moogle. |

However, MS Paint adds noise to the GIF when you save it as a GIF, which ruins the screenshot. >_<

I bugged him about that for reviews the other day and now PNGs can be in reviews (look at my review of Bo Hobo), but I do not know if he also allowed that for the gamelist.

All he has to do is add png to the filename filter, but I haven't seen him online lately when I've been on _________________

Yeah... back to the topic. The game's looking good. Still open for a cutscene artist. |

Cutscene artist?
I am always stuck in the shop with nothing much to do but sketch between customers, so I might be able to sketch some stuff for you, since I'm just about finished with most everything i need to sketch for FFG.
On that note, what kind of stuff do you need done? Also, Could I just do the pencil art, and leave the coloring and everything else to you? =) |

But you rock at coloring...
Well, whatever you can do would be great. I know your work and I'd be happy to have you on my project (whereas you blindly -- or should it be deafly? -- accepted me for your music work). I don't need a lot, but I'm sure you'll have fun with the cutscenes I give for you to draw. Hmm... I may even abuse you and have you draw the bosses.
All slots filled, then! Fenix sent me the maptiles and they are m4dly 5ki113d! I'll have some screenshots up here Monday or Tuesday. Stay tuned. |
