TwinHamster did most of the work in the nightly version for PoD.

When I play it with the game.exe he sent me for testing it works just fine, perfectally even... When I zipped it up to upload, I did forget some of the stuff needed to make the game player work. But it is a nightly.

PoD is too cruel - why remove items (were they necessary? I'll never know) from the map if you run into an enemy which respawns next to you? Also, my key didn't do anything.

It seems our game didn't upload after all. I don't have it on this computer anyway, so will take this opportunity to drop out of the contest and release a working copy of the game sometime soon, hopefully. (I might as well rewrite everything that was badly thought out the first time)

You could try 'plot:NPC at pixel'

Oh gosh. That's why the treasure boxes kept disappearing.

I had originally planned for the enemies to continue spawning whenever you entered the map, and I was cheap on npcs, so I just used 8 destroy npc (npc at spot(x,y)) to obliterate anything that was standing around the hero. Doy!
I guess this'll be fixed eventually.

Haha, it wouldn't be a 48 hour game without it's fair share of bugs, heh.

True... and I was aware that command existed... but I decided to cut a few corners, especially when using commands I wasn't familiar with. At the time, it was a lot easier to use NPC at spot... but when the game gets fixed up, I'll definitely use pixel-based detection. Actually, I don't think writing the script to detect the pixel is as difficult as I originally thought.

Thanks.

Agreed, bugs are part of the fun.

And what were the results of last round?! Are you keeping the judge's scores until the end?
