Mostly The match-checking code is just slow. I would love to figure out ways to optimize it, but maybe later. |
Play with a nightly build of game.exe instead of the one included with the game, it runs the scripts many times faster. There are still some delays, but I doubt Rinku would see them on his supercomputer. After the next version releases, I'm going to try and make scripts a few more times faster still.
I think the mouse tends to move/look ugly in OHR games because it's only drawn 18 times per second. I wish we could have a bitset/setting somewhere to increase the game speed (once the engine is even capable of drawing 36 or more frames per second)
Also, whenever anyone says they are going to pursue a career in games, I always assume they mean as an indie. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

I'm scared to try that because of the nightly virus that's taken over. _________________ Tower Defense Game |

Well, I tried the game with the nightly and I didn't see any lags. However doing that cost me a virus ridden computer . After the reinstall of the OS, I am not going to try it again until someone confirms that the virus is gone.
edit: Tried it, and no virus, and it runs faster then it does with the included exe file. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.

Yeah, it runs faster than I remember - I only see a tiny pause on an unsuccessful switch. But I want it running at 36fps and not pausing! _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

We probably have TMC to thank for recent script interpreter optimizations |
