Here it is.
http://www.angelfire.com/vt/ecoverse/FirstCG.html
Like athereal said, "cg it", so I did. :/ At first I was coloring it in Paint, but then I decided to use the Jask Paint Shop Pro that I never seem to use and experiment with that, and that CG is what happened. :/ I probaly messed up somewhere.
Well, half was done in paint, then I worked on it the rest of the time on PSP to bottom line or summarize it in one sentence. :/
Off I go to post the link on another message board about art and drawing that I hang out at.
(Next time Ill use layers. @_@) |

It's pretty good. However, I do think that a cell-shading approach would fit with your style more. Maybe you can use only three shades of each color. |

I agree with Grandtrain. The "airbrush-anime" style (my name for it, because I don't know what it's really called) doesn't mix well with your chibi style. However, for a first CG, it's very good. The main issue I see is that the black lines are too pixelized looking. If you're using Photoshop or PSP7, this isn't hard to fix. The best way, in my opinion, is to scan your picture into Photoshop or PSP7, then change the layer it's on so that your pencil work is light blue or something, and set the opacity of that layer to about 15% (adjust this as needed so you can see it). Then create a new layer, and on that layer use the line tool at a weight of about 2 pixels and go over your pencil work with the tool. Clean it up a bit, and once you're satisfied, remove your pencil work layer. Then color it. _________________

I never knew layers could be used in so many other ways. I didnt know they could be used like tracing paper. I guess this means Ill have to use the pencil of PSP and not the pencil of paint anymore. Im like halfway converting to PSP already. I must stop clinging to Paint. |

Yeah, layers are extremely useful when it comes to CGing. _________________

Yes, layers are the most usefull thing when it comes to CGing. When I do a CG, I make a seperate layer for the line art, and seperate layers for each different colour that I'm using. This keeps things organized and makes it easiar when shading in. |

I wish I could CG...I have so many pictures I could use...
About yours, however, that is super cool. I love it. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |
