The goal of this contest is simple. Design a final boss sprite for an OHR game, be it one you're working on, or just for show. You have until next friday, when winter break begins for many of us, so get crackin.

There's a few minor rules you must abide by.
-It must be no larger than 320x200 pixels.
-No limit on the colors used.
-No limit to the number of entries submitted.
-It must be original. That is, you may NOT alter a sprite used in another game.
-Do the best you can. No half-assing.

Once friday rolls around, anyone may come in and vote ONCE for their favorite, which will be hosted in a seperate thread for simplicity's sake. It's probably in your best interests to only work on one sprite, since people may only vote ONCE, so multiple entries will more or less kill your chances at winning. Remember, you've until NEXT friday, the 16th to finish, so work hard and we'll see you at the finish line.

On a related matter; because Giz was temporarily banned, I motion the nude sprite contest should be given an extension!

This sounded like a cool contest, and I'd already been working on an optional boss in my game (in the 'emerald weapon'/'ruby weapon' sort of tradition from ff7, except that it's an optional final boss), so I decided to give it a try...although now that I've seen the competition I'm having second thoughts. Oh well, here it is anyway. It's Calibos, (re)reanimated by Qezecoatl.

Here's my entry. It's not what I'd like to to be, but I only noticed the contest declaration yesterday.



My source sketch is here, and it conveys the attitude I wanted more accurately. If I had the whole week to toy with it, I'd be happier, but I did have finals to worry about.
