This morning I got a fairly odd email. Inferior Minion and I had already sorted out server and shipping costs, and all that was left to do was get his parents to send it to my place. According to IM, his parents couldn't send me the server because of "all the wires" and so the deal was off, but he offered me some suggestions on purchasing a server. Now, I figured that he just didn't want to get rid of his server after all, and my plan was to start doing some hardware hunting tomorrow for a new server, since I didn't want CP to go down at the end of this month. I got lucky though, and someone(I won't reveal names if the person doesn't want it, since I don't know what IM would do to them) let me in on the joke.

IM was joking. CP was never going to go down.

He thought it would be funny to take my offer to buy the server seriously.

He thought it was funny to keep me hanging for nearly a month.

He thought it was funny that I made the soapbox thread and the announcement thread to hear about what changes you'd like to see for CP.

He's been avoiding me on AIM all day so he doesn't have to talk to me about it.

So yeah. I'm pretty hurt, since apparently quite a few people I trusted were in on this "joke". The good news is Castle Paradox won't be going down anytime soon. So that's it, just thought all of you should know that the big host switch isn't going to happen.

People like IM shouldn't be allowed to run internet communities. First the shadow dictator thing, now this. It's like he's trying to kill it.

Now would be a good time to hit the board with that massive update right about now.

I also wouldn't say he's actually running the community. Right now, the ones calling the shots are Squall, Shadowiii, Machu, Uncommon, Setu (well... he resigned, but still), CN (!), and myself.
