BREAKING NEWS: In the resulting argument, I have been allowed into #Hachi. It is... not as great as my 4 years of searching had lead me to believe it would be.

WHAT? IMPOSSIBLE
How do you know it was the real #hachi? They're probably just making up fake rewards for you!

It actually turned out to be a lot easier than he was making it sound. Almost done as it is, and we're friends again. If you liked the long shadows off the cliffs from the screenshots, we're doing away with those so Hawk can randomly generate the maps, which apparently was his other big news.

EDIT: He also tricked me into saying I was an artist. Curse you! I'm nobody's artist!

A little showing of how the look has evolved, and how awesome Hawk's random maps are. Hawk even gave me the day off for E3, his favorite holiday! But seeing as how I've been slacking, I'm gonna go ahead and work and get a little bit ahead. Don't tell Hawk!

Come on giz, that screenshot kind of shows LESS than previous ones! You're no good at hype!

I miss the shadows a bit, actually. Hawk should be less lazy!

I miss the shadows too. Only other thing is that the Cacti looks flat, or has TMC lost weight?

That's the kind of things my art teachers used to tell me all the time Sad...

And as for the hype machine, I'm linking what Hawk uses to demonstrate things to me. He isn't uploading anything for hype yet, and because he doesn't know this journal exists, I can't ask him directly. I'll try and trick him into showing something more exciting.

Haha!

Honestly Giz, free image hosting is everywhere, and IM would reset your password if you asked. But, I get it, drawing is SHAMEFUL

More rogues! More random!

Rampant revisionism! Hawk's fallout with Sew has him rethinking everything about the project, cutting features left and right. I could be done with my art now, or have to do textures for the FPS section. Nobody knows, and since I don't have to work till he gets it all figured out, I'm not gonna ask.

By popular demand, static shadowy maps are here to stay! ..and it's back to the coal mine for Giz, who has orders to draw a new cactus by tonight, or be forced to beta test the game and help with maps.

I don't want to play another Hawk game, LOST IN TRANSLATION was bad enough. Come on, Graphics Barn. Gimme a cactus

EDIT: Oooh, and TMC and I realized we had exactly the same number of posts, so we're racing to see who can post the most before IM puts the banhammer down. Bonus don't tell IM points!

:O
Did you say static maps? That slacker!

I didn't get around to adding dripping fangs, so I made the spikes red instead.

Don't want to play the game? Hahahaha..

Hahaha, you bastard. Too bad that cactus looks more like a boss fight than a maptile. And if you think static maps make him a slacker, you oughta hear him complaining about having to make 'em!

Haha.

You didn't specify: I thought we were drawing enemies! Cacti are dangerous!
