Not much game content yet, but I have these.

Apologies for the red background.
It made sense at the time.

Red background is fine.

I think you're the best walkabout artist in the community. I think you'll be a pixel master at this rate! Your portrait is great too. Excellent color ramp.

Wow, that's a pretty massive complement to give; thanks for that!
If lighting didn't terrify me as much as it does, I'd probably be able to make prettier non-walkabouts too! (See Character's robe below. Does light reflect that way? I have no idea.)

Tried scanning in a new character.
Friend or foe? Who knows!

I think I'll stick with this method of scaling scanned character portraits and spriting their walkabouts.

Also, which portrait sizes do you guys prefer?
The large whole-bodies or the smaller floating-heads?

Haha, my room mate also called it a pig, which seems odd because pigs have snouts and buelle doesn't even have a nose.
After taking a closer look, he decided that it looked closer to a Mimiga.

I do not know how I feel about that.

I agree that these sprites are well made. I hope that only encourages you to work even harder, because you have the skillz.
I like the POV of the pink guy. Sort of looks like the audience is looking down at him at an angle.

So I've started the Battle Engine and it's working pretty smoothly for the few options that are available.

I can hopefully upload a tech demo of a battle in a couple of days.

Apologies if this screenie doesn't prove anything, but it actually does!
You've got to trust me on this one.

* Redid the stat system so that all of the substats are directly affected by four main stats.

* Tweaked the title layout so that everything works wonderfully.

Now I just have to add more titles.

Also, the storyline is coming together in a conveniently functional manner.

With Three layers with one tileset each, I figured that makes scrolling through a huge map-image (See the newer Wandering Hamster intro) significantly easier to do.

[edit] Finish

Status Screen/Title compatibility?
Functional.

Also, the new default palette is awesome.
I didn't expect it to be at first glance, but it is.

That is an incredibly sleek status screen you got going for you.

I would like the new palette, but usually I find myself editing the palette anyway (and I've had trouble with skin tones).

That would be neat!
I've yet to try out the mouse-interface yet, and now seems as good a time as any.

That normally would've turned me off, but fortunately, I'm finding little use for skin tones in this game.

On second look -- is it supposed to say "Strengthy"? It does make all the attributes same-length, which is cool, but it's odd.

Other 9-length synonyms, sort of:
musclulars
powerfuls
strengths
manliness
pigliness
oinkpower

"Luckiness" is preferable to "Luckyness," too.
